Since the departure of Vincent Laigneau from the Maladrerie OS bench, made official on November 21, 2024, it is his deputy, David Caillardwho has been acting for three weeks now. Here is the latter confirmed by the club’s board of directorssince Tuesday, December 17.
Caillard knows the club
“With his experience, his skills and his knowledge of the clubthe board of directors of the MOS decided to entrust him with the pennant team on a lasting basis following an interview last night [lundi, ndlr] », Informed the club management in a press release.
Previously with CA Lisieux, David Caillard had already coached Maladrerie OS almost ten years ago. Last year, he promoted the club’s reserve team to Regional 2.
“Trusting David allows us to extend the work already underway with the players since last summer,” underline the president, Thierry Deslandes and Bruno David, his vice-president in charge of the sports project.
His vision of football is in line with that of the educators in charge of the club’s senior B and U18 teams. This is important because these teams are the “reserves” of the club. Indeed, together they form the pool of players likely to evolve occasionally or on a long-term basis as a flagship team.
Held in check by Bayeux FC (3-3) during the last day, Maladrerie OS is, for the moment, at the fifth place in the Regional 1 championship.
