After the allegedly illegal contract of the former director of the port of Saint-Cyprien, the Anticorruption AC association!! attacks that of the director of the municipal campsite, already pointed out by the regional chamber of accounts.
Letters, reports and other denunciations to the courts now seem to be raining down on the municipality of Saint-Cyprien. After a series of letters sent by two opposition elected officials to the prosecutor on suspicions in municipal management, the Anticorruption AC!! has just filed its second complaint in two months on December 13, 2024. This time targeting the alleged non-compliant governance of the municipal campsite “Bosc d’en Roug”.
Taking up the report of the regional chamber of accounts of May 2020, the association recalls that “the campsite (managed by the EPIC tourist office) does not have an operating council”, but also that “the contract of the campsite director, recruited in 2016, falls under private law and not public law contrary to the provisions of the law”.
Despite the recommendations of the Court of Auditors, “the situation has never been regularized as confirmed by the mayor himself, questioned by opposition elected officials in the municipal council in June, September and November 2024”, adds the association’s lawyer, Me Vincent Poudampa. According to him, Mayor Thierry Del Poso, the former director of the tourist office and the current director, as well as the general director of services, “in voluntarily allowing a situation to continue that they knew was illegal and by not carrying out minimum checks contributed to paying the campsite director, for several years, a salary, compensation or bonuses, which did not correspond to those he would have should normally have received.” Facts which could be compared to “embezzlement”. And this“while at the same time, they were peeling” the employment contract of former port director Serge Pallares “in exactly the same illegal legal situation”. And to which the mayor demanded the reimbursement of one million euros unduly collected.
