As in recent years at the same time, Airbnb has decided to wage a war against the organization of parties in its rentals. As reported Begeek Sunday December 15, 2024, relayed by The Dispatch the company plans to deploy “anti-party technology” to prevent them during the New Year’s Eve party.
In detail, this tool which aims to counter the “Unauthorized and disruptive parties” makes it possible to detect in advance the people who plan to organize one. Thanks to automatic learning using artificial intelligence, this will identify risky reservations and then block them. To do this, the device will look at the length of the stay, the distance between the accommodation and the user’s location, as well as the date of the reservation.
Conditions to respect
As our colleagues point out, the system therefore has a good chance of canceling any two-night reservation made just a few days before the New Year. Airbnb therefore reserves the right to block them or offer other accommodation to the user. This tool will be implemented in countries around the world.
To have your reservation accepted for this period, you will now have to comply with certain obligations if the accommodation is located in France, the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia or New -Zealand. The platform will notably require stays of more than three days and to accept a “obligatory anti-party certificate”. Entire homes, more conducive to parties, are particularly affected.
