Eleven far-right activists will be tried on Wednesday December 18 and Thursday December 19 in Nantes by the criminal court. They are suspected of having belonged to a commando who attacked the same bar twice in July 2019.
The weather was rather nice on July 5, 2019 in Nantes. Around fifty customers take advantage of the relatively mild evening to have a drink on the terrace of Hopopop, a bar in the city center located not far from the Château des Ducs de Bretagne. The evening is in full swing when, shortly after midnight, around ten hooded individuals appear, armed with telescopic batons and tear gas bombs, who devastate the terrace and indiscriminately attack customers. This commando is made up of far-right activists.
