Auxerre: refusal to comply
On the night of Monday December 16 to Tuesday December 17, 2024, around 2:35 a.m., the Auxerre police spotted a Peugeot 407 vehicle with three men on board, which was traveling on a bus lane, rue du 24-August. The police then turned on their flashing lights and triggered their siren, but the suspect car began to accelerate, its driver refusing to comply and stop. The fugitives, passing through rue de Lattre-de-Tassigny and rue du Stand, reached the RN151. The chase extended through the villages of Vallan, Gy-l’Évêque, to Courson-les-Carrières. There, the escapees’ car found itself immobilized against a wall. One of the occupants, aged 17, was arrested and then taken into police custody. The other two fled.
Auxerre: a safe… and stolen chocolates
A burglary was committed in a home on rue de la Maladière, in Auxerre, during the night from Monday to Tuesday. The perpetrator(s) forced a garage door to enter the home. Inside, a safe, sealed in a wall, was stolen. It is unknown at this stage what it contained. The owner noticed the theft in the early morning and even noticed that the thieves had stolen several boxes of chocolate.
Auxerre: suspected thief arrested
A burglary was committed in broad daylight on a private property on avenue Pierre-de-Courtenay in Auxerre, Monday December 16. The thief entered the home through a door left open in the basement. A suspect was quickly arrested by the Auxerre police in possession of a watch. After being presented to a judicial police officer, he was taken into police custody.
Auxerre: without a license, without insurance and drunk
During a road check, avenue Jean-Mermoz in Auxerre, this Tuesday at the start of the afternoon, the police arrested a motorist who had accumulated traffic offenses: she was driving without insurance, her driving license was suspended, she was positive for alcohol (0.70 grams in the blood) and narcotics. Cannabis was found in her purse. A judicial police officer was alerted.
