Teddy bears, snow globes, small cars… In its Bastia store, Nine Besseron offers more than 300 toys in just a few square meters. A true paradise for children… And this year, one product in particular stands out from the others: “Wooden toys remain timeless, but what’s hot right now is anything JellyCat“, explains the manager.

JellyCat, or quirky soft toys that appeal to little ones to teenagers. They blend in with the more traditional wooden toys. Handcrafted, the wood nevertheless retains its place at the foot of the tree. “That’s good, they’ll keep them longer and for later“, estimates this customer.

In this other interior decoration store in Bastia, Christmas is already here. The decorations are numerous, and allow you to stock up on ideas for the New Year’s Eve table. It was the salespeople who entirely imagined this visual. “Having a beautiful decoration is sure to catch the eye. And we have fun, we are creative and we have no constraints“, says Samatha Paoli, deputy head of commerce.

The shops in downtown Bastia are dressed in lights, and are preparing to experience a crazy weekend before Christmas. A period which represents more than a third of the turnover for most businesses.
