The biggest names in world architecture candidates to transform the Léon Blum district

Issy-les-Moulineaux is preparing to host an exceptional architectural project. The biggest names in international architecture are vying to transform an emblematic district of the city. This project, located near the future Grand Express station, is part of an ambitious urban development dynamic. The competing teams offer bold visions, combining architectural quality, environmental innovation and the well-being of future occupants. The selection criteria will favor the most innovative projects, notably integrating solutions in biosourced materials, renewable energy and artificial intelligence applied to buildings. The land, with an area of ​​20,000 m², offers exceptional potential to create an innovative and sustainable living space.

Eight teams, bringing together renowned French developers and world-renowned architects, were preselected to take on this challenge. Among them, we find:

  • Snohetta (Norway), famous for the Oslo Opera, associated with AGRE;
  • Valode and Pistre (), designers of Beaugrenelle, in collaboration with ALTAREA;
  • Stefano Boeri (Italy), inventor of the Milan Vertical Forest, alongside FRANCO SUISSE;
  • Daniel Libeskind (United States), architect of the Jewish Museum in Berlin and One World Trade Center in New York, associated with La Compagnie de Phalsbourg;
  • I’m Fujimoto (Japan), recognized for the Tokyo Museum of Contemporary , in partnership with Les Nouveaux Constructeurs;
  • Jean-Paul Viguier (France), architect of the head office, associated with EIFFAGE
  • Nicolas Laisné (France), architect of the Arbre Blanc in , in collaboration with LINKCITY;
  • Triptych Architecture (Brazil), authors of the RB12 building in Rio de Janeiro, alongside VINCI Immobilier.

The City of Issy-les-Moulineaux, in close collaboration with Seine Ouest Habitat et Patrimoine (SOHP) and the SPL Seine Ouest Aménagement, wishes to make this project a model of sustainable and attractive urban development. The winner, who will be selected by the end of the year, will have to obtain a building permit in 2025.
