Khalifa Sall was not in Senegal at the time of the events

The notable absence of Khalifa Sall, honorary mayor of Dakar, during the turmoil involving her partner Barthélémy Dias and the members of the municipal council, raised many questions. Many expected to see him alongside his allies or, at the very least, to hear his views on current issues.

The former councilor of the capital would be in France, a situation which explains his silence and his absence on the local political scene in recent days. Some observers believe that, if he were in Senegal, Khalifa Sall would have taken the floor to express himself, or even made the trip to defend his positions with his usual frankness.
