L’Oriental: AREF’s 2025 budget approved

Under the chairmanship of the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saad Berrada, the ordinary session of the Board of Directors of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Oriental approved the strategic projects for the year to come. On the program: assessment of acquired knowledge, performance contracts, and initiatives to strengthen the educational offer, particularly in rural areas.

The Board of Directors of the Oriental Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) unanimously approved on Saturday the progress report for the year 2024, as well as the projects for 2025 action and budget plan and the continuing education program for the same year.

At the end of the presentation of the reports of the commissions from the board of directors, the director of the Academy, Mohamed Dib, presented data and indicators relating to the region, the progress report for the year 2024, the draft action plan and budget for 2025, as well as the progress report on the implementation of the regional continuing training program for the year 2024 and the draft regional continuing training program for 2025, indicates the AREF de l’Oriental in a press release.

Chaired by the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saad Berrada, this session, held in the presence of the wali of the Oriental region, representatives of the governors of the provinces of the region and members of the board of directors, was marked by the signing of annexes to the performance contracts for the year 2025 between the Ministry of National Education and the AREF de l’Oriental, between the AREF and the Regional Center for Education Professions and of training (CRMEF) of the Oriental and with the provincial directorates under the AREF, adds the press release.

Improve the quality of teaching
These contracts, put in place as part of the implementation of the prerogatives of the 2022-2026 roadmap, aim to clarify the commitments of each party to achieve strategic objectives such as improving the quality of learning, strengthening development and citizenship.

These commitments are based on key principles, including good governance, the correlation between responsibility and accountability, and results-based management and impact assessment. This session was also marked by the signing of a regional protocol between AREF and the Oujda section of the Alaouite Organization for the Protection of the Blind, annexed to the agreement concluded in June 2024 between the ministry and the Organization Alawite.

The objective of this protocol is to continue the implementation of the provisions of the convention and to strengthen, at regional level, the partnership with a view to deploying the joint action program.

A vision for the rural environment
During the session, a presentation was made of the framework cooperation and partnership agreement between the Wilaya of the region, the Regional Council and the AREF, relating to the creation of 14 integrated educational complexes in rural areas (2025- 2027), in the prefecture and provinces of the region.

This program aims, among other things, to fight against school dropouts, to promote the schooling of girls in rural areas and to strengthen the educational offer, through a model which meets educational and sporting needs and which contributes to artistic development. and literature for children in rural areas. These complexes will also contribute to the promotion of relations between the school and its immediate environment, through partnership and cooperation agreements with local authorities and civil society, thus allowing the use of their sports and cultural spaces by residents. .

Furthermore, at the opening of the work of this session, the Minister of National Education highlighted the particular importance of holding these boards of directors, which are part of the acceleration of educational reform process, through the implementation of the operational framework of the 2022-2026 roadmap, aiming, through a series of concrete measures, to drive real transformation within classrooms.

The minister also considered that holding the board meetings represents an opportunity to dialogue with the members of the boards as well as with the various players in the sector, in addition to being able to take stock of the implementation of the various reform projects. .
