The President of the French National Assembly visits Morocco

Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly, is making an official visit to Morocco from December 11 to 13, 2024.

This parliamentary diplomacy mission, which is part of a strengthened bilateral dynamic, aims to consolidate relations between the two countries in various areas, ranging from political cooperation to education through economic exchanges.

Upon her arrival in Rabat, the President will begin a series of official meetings. She will meet with Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives, as part of discussions on parliamentary collaborations. This meeting will conclude with the signing of a cooperation protocol between the two institutions, marking a new milestone in relations between the Moroccan and French parliaments.

On Thursday, Ms. Braun-Pivet will begin her day with meditation at the Mohammed V Mausoleum. She will then be received by Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government. This meeting will be followed by a session dedicated to Franco-Moroccan businesswomen, highlighting the importance of economic collaboration and the promotion of female entrepreneurship.

In the afternoon, Ms. Braun-Pivet will go to the Central School of Casablanca, where she will debate with students on educational and technological issues. She will then visit the Alstom maintenance center.

The last day of his visit, Saturday, will be marked by actions in favor of human rights. Braun-Pivet will visit a site dedicated to protecting vulnerable women. This trip will also be an opportunity to conclude the parliamentary twinning between the National Assembly and the House of Representatives during an official ceremony organized at the Parliament in Rabat. Finally, the President will participate in the opening of the Forum of Women Parliamentarians, where she will reaffirm her commitment to gender equality and the crucial role of women in politics and society.
