The general assembly of the Departmental Cycling Committee was held on Friday December 6 in Montpellier. As tradition, at the end, the Hérault cyclists who marked the 2024 season were rewarded.
The Heart of Hérault and its immediate surroundings were an important part of the moment since, in addition to Lodévois Victor Koretzky, bronze medalist at the Paris Olympics in cross-country mountain biking but absent from the event due to obligations in Paris, Mourézoise Myriam Nicole, after a blank 2023 season due to injury, returned to the world elite by taking 2nd place in the World Championship and 4th in the World Cup. Just like Lisa Bouladou, licensed at the Lodève club, who won the French DH championship for her first season in Elite. From Roujan, from the same team as Myriam Nicole and former teammates of Lisa Bouladou, Till and Max Alran, for their first junior year won, for Till, the fifth place in the DH World Cup despite a start to the season complicated by an injury and for Max, a junior world vice-champion title and first place in the World Cup in the age category.
Many young people from the Cœur d’Hérault clubs were also rewarded. The 2025 mountain bike season will begin in March with a round of the regional trophy for young mountain bikers in the ruffes of Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière.
