PICTURES | Closure on the A-30 for “several hours” due to loss of load

Highway 30 was completely closed to westbound traffic on Tuesday morning following an accident involving three vehicles, including a heavy goods vehicle which lost a large load of wood, in the Delson sector.

The collision occurred around 10 a.m., at kilometer 55 of Highway 30 West.

According to authorities, no serious injuries have been reported in this event.

But the repercussions on traffic are very significant: this major loss of wood load – which spilled into the lanes – led to the complete closure of the westbound highway, as well as one eastbound lane.

According to the authorities, the operation to recover the wood should last around “five or six hours” and should therefore be completed just before the evening rush hour.

Around 3:30 p.m., one lane was reopened on Highway 30, westbound, between the A-930 and the A-730. The Ministry of Transport still does not know when the highway will be completely reopened to traffic.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
