The government is about to fall. After Michel Barnier took action with the activation of 49-3 to pass, without a vote, the bill on the Social Security budget, a motion of censure was filed by France insoumise. The National Rally did the same.
But for Michel Barnier and his government to fall, at least 289 deputies must vote on the motion of censurewhich will be debated by the end of next week, at the earliest on Wednesday December 4 in the afternoon. Indeed, if the far right joins the left coalition, Michel Barnier will have to leave officeonly 4 months after taking up the post.
“As soon as Barnier falls, it will be a gun to Macron’s head,” assures an EPR deputy (ex-Renaissance), reports Le Parisien.
“Macron is not going to cry Barnier”
According to information from Le Parisien, Emmanuel Macron has already been in full consultation for several days with telephone exchanges et meetings at the Elysée.
