This commitment of cadets, both on the ground and in the values they embody, is part of an objective of strengthening social cohesion and solidarity. The general interest mission, through the SNU, allows young people to discover responsibilities and understand the importance of collective action within their community.

The year 2024 thus marks a new milestone in the involvement of youth in large-scale citizen projects, supported by institutions such as the National Gendarmerie and regional prefectures. These young people, with their experiences, are now called to become relays of republican values and committed actors in society.

Congratulations to all the cadets for their dedication, and for having illustrated through their actions the spirit of Universal National Service. Their journey has only just begun, and their investment will continue to extend well beyond the Gendarmerie.
