“It’s up to us to make you prefer the train”, stated an advertising slogan of the SNCF of the 1990s. The least we can say is that the network The Clermontois Bus is also doing everything possible to ensure that you leave your car in the garage in 2024.

Inexpensive and reliable, these two adjectives have stuck to the skin of the public transport network serving the 18 municipalities for a decade now. of the community of communes of Clermontois (Oise).

The arrival of these miniature shuttles under the agglomeration flag in 2019 constituted at the time a “paradigm change” for this community, a small revolution in mobility.

The public transport network whose operation has been entrusted to the company Transdev Oise Cabaro has since continued to grow and strengthen and expand its offering, to the point of today offering 4 regular lines allowing workers to more easily reach Clermont station or the Fitz-James swimming pool.

More than 42,000 passengers transported last year

This service continues to be used more and more each year. Thus, the Pays du Clermontois recorded a total of 38,500 in 2021
In 2022, 42,400 travelers were transported by this service. In 2023, the mark of 43,267 had been reached. A success which cannot be denied, for 10 years and the commissioning of these 1 euro shuttles.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, users and residents will be able to travel for free throughout the month of December, with no journey limit.

“An offer that also works for the Transport on Demand (TAD) service”, we specify from the urban services side.

Aubades, flashmobs and musical skits

To brighten up the journey of travelers a littlethe eight buses of the network will be transformed into a traveling performance hall during the month of December, at very specific times. Actors, singers, musicians are likely to come on board at any time.

Several well-known local companies in Clermontois have been called upon to offer happenings to travelers, such as the Pressoir Theater For example.

The actions we carry out during the week are surprises for users. We do not warn them in advance of the passage times, in order to surprise them in their daily lives.

Manon Thivet
Marketing & Communication Manager of the Le Bus network

Objective: to “surprise travelers” and “create buzz” around all these actions, for more impact on social networks.

Aubades at the station and buses that look like a museum

The last three Saturdays of December will also be full of activities. On December 14, one of these surprises will be offered by the dance association Melting Pop at 2 p.m., Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. “Dancers will come out of a bus and stage a flash mob.” An “aubade” is also planned for December 12 in the morning on the square in front of Clermont station. There singer Léopoldine, known as Léo Divary, will sing a song there.

The Clermont-based director Olivier Lallart was called upon to immortalize these moments of life on buses and in stations, with a view to making an anniversary video.

Set up like a museum on wheels, a mobile bus will immerse you in the world of the painter Pierre Longchamps (1925-1978) on the morning of Saturday December 12 in the village squares of Lamécourt, Saint-Aubin and Fouilleuse.

After analyzing the works, travelers will be invited to practice their painting talents themselves at the Clermontois library.

A musical and theatrical interlude will also be offered in three other municipalities in the north-east of Clermontois benefiting from the network's Transport on Demand (TAD) service that afternoon: in Maimbeville (3 p.m.), Rémécourt (4 p.m.) and Erquery (at 5 p.m. ).

That's not all. An “Advent calendar” of the 10th anniversary of the bus will allow you to win gifts every day during your journeys (water bottles, tickets for the Clermontois cinema, transport subscription, entry to the Fitz-James aquatic center, tote bag).
