Three weeks before the Christmas holidays, the ski resorts of the two Savoies are smiling. Booking rates are very good. We take stock with Denis Maurer, president of G2A-Consulting, a firm specializing in tourism based in Savoie.
The resorts of Pays de Savoie are smiling as the Christmas holidays approach. They have very good booking rates, often above 80% over two weeks. “It looks exceptional”assure Denis Maurer, president of G2A-Consulting, a firm specializing in tourism based in Savoie. “With one nuance, it is that the Christmas week, for the moment, is very late. It is approximately 10% late compared to last year. On the other hand, the New Year week has an extreme advance of more than 22%”he continues. “And I'm speaking generally at the level of the French mountains. In Savoie, there are small disparities, despite everything, between the high altitude resorts which have even greater advances and the resorts that we call charming resorts, the village stations, which are very late on Christmas, but which compensate with this incredible week of New Year's Eve.”
