Is the senior residence project in Montmirail in trouble?

During Étienne Dhuicq's wishes on January 25, 2024, the mayor of Montmirail expressed all his questions about a project to build a senior residence on the 34,000 m plot² located near the hospital, the nursery school and in front of the Brie Champenoise college.

A project described as “rabbit cages”

The initial project included 120 houses before being reduced to 80 accommodations. A slide projected during the mayor's wishes who described this project as “rabbit cages”. The misunderstanding between the developer and the town hall has not been resolved over the past year.

Consulted, the mayor of Montmirail obviously hasn't changed his mind on the project and the method which prevailed in its design: “The previous project was in my opinion disproportionate compared to the commune of Montmirail. I recently discovered that the land was for sale again, I don't know the reasons. I think that for Montmirail, we especially need land for home ownership. This is my wish for the next owner. »

And added: “I also specify that the permit was granted and that nothing stood in the way of the construction of the 121 housing units as well as the common space. We recently confirmed this to the promoter. »

Land for sale for €1,216,000

From the Logic Immo announcement, we learn that this 34,000 m plot of land² constructible is for sale for the sum of €1,216,000. That it is “a bare land complex” and for which several projects are possible: “subdivisions, senior residences”.

The advertised price is “excluding notary, registration and land registration fees” and that “the agency's fees are the responsibility of the seller”.
