Around fifty gendarmes are still mobilized to try to find the 13-year-old girl, who has not been found since Monday November 25.
Where did Morgane Rivoal go? This 13-year-old schoolgirl from Pabu, in Côtes-d'Armor, has not given any sign of life for a week. The police search continues this Monday. The public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc will give a press conference at 4 p.m.
Monday, November 25, around 7:15 a.m., Morgane left her parents' home in Pabu on foot, after saying goodbye to them as usual. The teenager is supposed to take a bus to go to Albert Camus college in Graces, in the nearby suburb of Guingamp. But she doesn't show up. The school informed his parents around 9:30 a.m. The young girl's mother reported her disappearance to the Guingamp gendarmerie two hours later.
The public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, Nicolas Heitz, immediately opened an investigation into “disturbing disappearance”. The investigations are entrusted to the research brigade of the Guingamp gendarmerie company, supported by soldiers from the Rennes research section. According to the gendarmerie's wanted notice, the young girl is 1.54 m tall, has long wavy, brown hair and blue or green eyes.
A disagreement with his parents
“Morgane had never run away in the past according to her parents who describe good relations in the family”indicated the public prosecutor in a press release released Friday, November 29. “A dispute arose with her parents over the weekend, relating in particular to Morgane's use of social networks. A heated discussion ensued with her parents during which her father broke his daughter's cell phone and took her SIM card.specified the public prosecutor in this same press release.
Is the disappearance of the young girl linked to this argument? According to the testimony of a friend of the teenager, the latter “was able to indicate on social networks that she would not come to class on Monday (November 25, Editor’s note)”. No avenue has been ruled out at this stage, according to a source close to the matter.
Research continues
Dogs, divers, helicopter, searches on foot, by bike and by car, searches with the participation of hundreds of volunteer citizens…. The gendarmes mobilized significant resources to try to find the young girl. In vain for the moment.
“The searches carried out at the family home and in other homes of his relations proved unsuccessful”indicated the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor’s office on Friday. “The gendarmerie units are fully committed to exploring all avenues in order to find this young girl as quickly as possible”detailed the public prosecutor.
Field searches continue to find the young girl. Around fifty soldiers were engaged this Monday in Guingamp, Pabu and the surrounding area. The soldiers notably go door to door.
