A shooter flees after a gunshot which injured one in Gironde

A man was shot and injured on Friday November 29 in Castillon-la-Bataille (Gironde) by a shooter who was still wanted by the gendarmes the next day. The victim underwent surgery and his life is no longer in danger.

A man who was on the quays of the Dordogne in Castillon-la-Bataille (Gironde) on the evening of Friday November 29, 2024 was targeted by a shooter. Injured in the rib cage, the victim was treated by emergency services and evacuated to Libourne hospital (Gironde), where he was operated on, report South West .

He was out of danger on Saturday November 30, 2024. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Libourne gendarmes. The military can in particular count on the use of video surveillance, specifies the local daily. Among other things, they will have to determine the reasons which pushed the man to act.

Suspect in car with dog

The day after the incident, the perpetrator of the shooting was still wanted by the police. The suspect was accompanied by a dog and was seen traveling in a car. He allegedly threatened a group of young people in the city center before attacking the victim. France Blue Gironde indicates that the latter is 29 years old.
