Dordogne rugby club volunteer missing, found safe

This Sunday, December 1, the missing 62-year-old man was found by the police. This volunteer from the Stade Foyen club had not given any sign of life since the day before, Saturday November 30. The gendarmerie deployed a helicopter to patrol the area and support the ongoing searches. Many volunteers from the rugby club joined the police to try to find Jean-Louis in Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt (Dordogne). He was hospitalized for more comprehensive examinations.

His club also communicates on social networks explaining that the volunteer needs help, particularly financial. “He was found safe and sound, but his financial difficulties are still present and impact his daily life”. A fundraiser was therefore founded to help him “and enable him to overcome this ordeal. Every contribution, even modest, can make a big difference and help him get back on his feet”we can read in the Stade Foyen club’s Facebook post.

This 62-year-old retiree, historic volunteer of the rugby club, did not show up for the meeting arranged with other members of the association at the Pierre Lart stadium this Saturday morning. Deeming the disappearance worrying, the gendarmes quickly launched a search. A dog handler also came from Mérignac in to participate in the research.
