Finistère Championship in Gouesnou: and three for Nicolas David!

Finistère Championships in Gouesnou

On the beautiful Penguérec circuit in Gouesnou, it was first of all Enzo Conan (VS Quimpérois) who won the race in the U17 category. In U19, Bastien Souben (VS Quimperois) left no chance to his opponents and declared that he hoped to appear in the championship which will take place next Sunday, on his land, on the circuit.

Maëva Squiban, for her part, stood alone against her competitors and indicated that this race helped her get back on her feet before participating in an internship in Spain with her new professional team.

In the main event of the day, the U23 + Senior Men category, the suspense would not last very long. From the attack of the second lap, Nicolas David (CC Ergué-Gabéric) took the lead with five seconds ahead of Alan Guézingar (VS Quimpérois) and 30 seconds ahead of Robin Prémel (AC Gouesnou). On this hilly, muddy and therefore very physical circuit, the fitness of the riders made the difference. It was, unsurprisingly, that we found in the same order, at the last crossing of the line, the leading trio who had broken away during the first lap.

Nicolas David won the Finistère champion title for the third time. Logically, we should find him well placed next Sunday, at the end of the Brittany championship.
