Since November 15, 2024, the departmental network Bienvenue à la ferme, in conjunction with the service provider Proxity, has been innovating and selling gift cards to be paid to its sixty Deux-Sévrien members. “Our objective is to promote short circuits and agritourism so given the complex agricultural situation, we have decided to highlight local agriculture and our producers”explains Aurore Lamarche, network host.
Farm products, overnight stays, visits or even activities can be offered via physical or dematerialized gift cards, valid for one year. The Bienvenue à la ferme network targets individuals, businesses and communities. “It’s another means of communication for us and we will reach a new audience who would not take the step of coming to a farm or who would not know the producers near them”agrees Emmanuel Brilloux, at the head of the family farm Canards gras du Cébron in Champeau (commune of Louin), between Parthenay and Thouars.
The operation will be extended beyond the end of year holidays.
