the residents of Vendeuil-Caply have a new mayor

The residents of Vendeuil-Caply have had a new mayor since November 29.

Marc Van Acker succeeds Guillaume Ménard, who resigned.

The new mayor already led the town a few years ago.

After the resignation of Guillaume Ménard and, previously, the death of two municipal councilors, complementary partial elections took place on November 24 in the commune of Vendeuil-Caply.

Three new advisors

Six candidates were in the running. Camille Kastelyn, Thibaut Quentin and Aurélie Verleye were elected in the first round.

The entire municipal council met on the evening of November 29 to elect the new mayor and deputies.

Around thirty people were present in the boardroom for the occasion.

The new mayor of Vendeuil-Caply has already led the town

Marc Van Acker was elected head of the municipality. For him, it’s a return to his roots in a way.

Born in 1965, he is familiar with the role of mayor having led the village from March 2001 to July 2009, before resigning from his post.

Guillaume Ménard then succeeded him.

On November 29, the three deputies already in place were reappointed.

It is about Bernard Le Conte, 1st assistant, Martine Opéron, 2nd assistant and Annick Cazier, 3rd assistant.
