ASC Tour overthrows Cosma in championship clash of invincibles

Last night, November 30, in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, the ASC Tour beat Cosma 74-54 in a summit clash between two undefeated teams. With this third victory against Cosma this season, the ASC Tour consolidates its domination and establishes itself as the favorite for first place in the championship.

The Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni gymnasium was packed for this highly anticipated face-to-face between the two teams at the top of the championship. From the start, the match kept all its promises with a tight first quarter (15-17 in favor of the ASC Tour).

The second quarter saw a temporary turnaround. Cosma, carried by great intensity, briefly went ahead in the score. However, the ASC Tour quickly regained the lead to end the first half with a slight advantage (31-33).

The second half was one-sided. From the third quarter, the ASC Tour accelerated and widened the gap (44-49). The last quarter sealed the victory for the visitors, with a final lead of 20 points (54-74). With this success, the ASC Tour brings its record against Cosma to 3 wins to 0 this season, all competitions combined.

Tonight, we were better than them. This victory gives us confidence before the Coupe de final on Saturday against . Playing this final at home is a great opportunity, and we will give everything to bring the trophy back to Guyana.

We were punished because we didn't follow the instructions. With two major players disqualified and a lack of lucidity, we left the match. At certain times, we played like U13s, and we can't afford that against a team like the ASC Tour.

Despite this defeat, he remains confident: “Nothing is lost. We must use this defeat to progress. We still have our destiny in our hands, and we will have to be ready for the return match. »

The supporters, many of whom came, witnessed an intense duel, marked by twists and turns and a strong rivalry between the two teams. This result confirms the ASC Tour as the big favorite for first place in the championship.

Cosma will resume the championship next week, before a crucial match in the CTG Cup on December 21. The ASC Tour, meanwhile, looks ahead to the Coupe de France final against Golden Stars of Martinique, which will be played at home next weekend.
