On Saturday November 30, this medieval castle will be transformed into a magical palace during its Christmas market. “A solidarity meeting,” insists Geneviève Fabre, the owner of the place with her husband Pierre. “This sale is organized for the benefit of the Order of Malta for the branches of Gers and Landes. »

The doors of this castle with its colonial and slave trading past will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will undoubtedly welcome several hundred visitors who will flock from all the surrounding departments, such as Gers, Gironde or even Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Lot-et-Garonne.

Huge nursery

A few days ago, he put on his Christmas clothes. The various shows are in full preparation. Garlands and other candles already set the scene for this one-day celebration. Huge paintings tell the story of this castle which you can discover while wandering from room to room to find good deals.

A short detour to the first floor, with the hosts, will allow you to discover the splendid collection of chocolate makers (and each of their specificities). “Visitors will be able to enjoy these beautiful things that will be discovered. This could give some gift ideas,” insists the hostess. In one of the lounges, a huge Christmas nativity scene will be visible.

In terms of conviviality, nothing will be missing either with the presence of numerous food trucks. We will stay with the theme of the places since one of them will sell “foamed chocolate” and another “churros and pancakes”.
