On December 5 and 6, 2024, the Place du Souvenir Africain will be the scene of the 4th edition of the Salon Made in Senegalan unmissable event dedicated to the promotion of Senegalese know-how, creativity and innovation. Organized by ATCOM, this event will highlight local products and key players in the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.
This edition is part of an ambitious vision: encouraging the Senegalese to consume locally while advocating for better support for national entrepreneurs. Through a rich and diverse program, the Salon Made in Senegal aspires to become a catalyst for economic and cultural development.
More than 100 exhibitors from various sectors – crafts, agriculture, industry and microfinance – will be present to highlight the diversity and quality of “Made in Senegal” products. Experts will share their knowledge on topics such as the processing of local products, Senegalese entrepreneurship, and competitiveness challenges. A culinary competition around the famous Thiébou Dieunea Senegalese national dish listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, will be one of the highlights of the event. Artistic performances and activities will also punctuate these two days, highlighting the richness and diversity of Senegalese cultural heritage.
The Salon Made in Senegal goes beyond the simple promotion of local products. It also aims to be an actor of change by raising visitors’ awareness of sustainable development issues. Throughout the event, eco-responsible practices will be encouraged to set an example.
“Authorities, businesses, institutional partners and citizens: come in large numbers to support, discover and celebrate the dynamism and creativity of local actors,” declares Aminata Thiam, director of the Atcom agency and promoter of the Salon Made in Senegal. This event is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of “local consumption” in a country in search of economic sovereignty.
