Climate science sometimes knows how to be discreet, even if it may seem strange, at the risk of fueling conspiracy theories. EPFL hosted in Sion – on November 19 and 20 and in the greatest secrecy – a conference dedicated to the protection of mountain glaciers against global warming.
Many renowned scientists were present, such as Shaun Fitzgerald, director of the Center for Climate Repair at the British University of Cambridge, a strong supporter of radical intervention on our planet, what we call geo- climate engineering. Among the many participants – we identified four – he is the only one to have mentioned, briefly but publicly, his coming to Switzerland, on X (formerly Twitter). “I was there but I don’t know if I have the right to talk to you about it,” replied a scientist opposed to extreme geoengineering solutions.
