The 2024 vintage of Towns and Villages in Flowers of the Oise is rather good for the Beauvaisis Agglomeration with three distinguished municipalities this Friday, November 29. Starting with Verderel-lès-Sauqueuse who won no less than… four prizes:

• 1^is price of municipalities with 500 to 999 inhabitants;
• The price of the flowery town hall in the 2^e category (from 500 to 999 inhabitants);
• A special incentive prize;
• and Denise Lepert, a resident of the town, who picks up the 3^e price of flowered facades, visible from the street.

“Passionate and knowledgeable, you seek to make our cities even more beautiful and our villages even more magnificent”underlined Nadège Lefebvre, the president of the Oise Departmental Council, during this ceremony.

However, she expressed a little regret when seeing the drop in the number of participating municipalities: “We're going to have to boost all that because it's important to have pretty, welcoming villages and there's nothing like flowers or greenery. Above all, a labeled municipality is an attractive municipality. »

In 2024, Frocourt is “more than ever the green lung of Beauvaisis”

The example of Frocourt, south of Beauvais, ticks all the boxes cited by the president of the Departmental Council. The village of just over 500 inhabitants, who applied for the first time after three years of workwas thus awarded the 2^e price for municipalities with 500 to 999 inhabitants as well as the special sustainable flowering price.

“We are very happy and it is great recognition for our town, rejoices David Crevet, the mayor of Frocourt. This is the realization of the work carried out since the start of the mandate in this direction. This is the first step to achieving 1^era flower and we are on track to obtain it next year. »

This is precisely what the mayor told us on the occasion of the special heritage report on the town in L'Observateur de Beauvais on Friday… August 2 : “With the municipal team, we continue to build a promising future for Frocourt, while preserving the values ​​that are dear to us. A 2^e flower for Allonne

As for Allonnethe town will now have a sign at the entrance to its town with two flowers because it has obtained… its 2^e flower. This follows the inspection visit of the regional jury on Friday June 14.

« This is carried out every three years in order to judge the evolution of the landscape and plant heritage. »Coralie De Wit of Hauts-de-France Tourisme told us, alongside Mickaël Poiret, Cyril Guimard and Sébastien Deplanque.

« We judge the municipality's approach to sustainable development and environmental protection as well as the involvement of residents. » During this visit of approximately one hour, the jury was able to see the different varieties of plants and flowers over nearly 2.6 kilometers taken care of by the two agents dedicated to green spaces and flowering between the set of sieves or still the hamlet of Bongenoult.

The transition to 100% LED was even taken into account by the jury, as well as the differentiated management of the lawn around the football stadium in particular.
