A child seriously injured after falling from an escalator in a shopping center in Paris

An 11-year-old child was seriously injured on Wednesday when he fell from an escalator in a shopping center in the 9th arrondissement of Paris while trying to reproduce a TikTok video, franceinfo learned on Thursday from a source close to the investigation. He suffers from multiple fractures and his vital prognosis is in jeopardy.

The accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at the “Le Passage du Havre” shopping center, in the heart of the Grands Boulevards district.

The child was reproducing a video from the social network TikTok with his friends. He fell from the edge of the escalator from a height of approximately 4 meters. The minor was transported to Robert Debré hospital in Paris.
