From Monday January 6, 5 a.m., France Bleu, the network of 44 local radio stations, changes its name and becomes “ici”. This development marks the culmination of a transformation launched in 2022 and aimed at strengthening public radio's commitment to its local and local information offering.
““ici” is the symbol for Radio France and France Télévisions of the creation of a common brand for the two public service networks. “ici” is the promise of 360 media: available on the radio , on television and on the web” explains the public radio communications department.
Since 2019, 37 joint “ici matin” morning shows have been launched and, since April 2022, the “ici” platform has existed and ranks as the number one Radio/TV brand, with nearly 12.4 million unique visitors per month*.
Today, the network has 44 locals and is therefore preparing to change its name to “Ici” but still with the same ambition. “More proximity, more content on local news, more good deals, practical advice or services and more digital offerings.”
