The Bassin car scrapyard, in Viviez, was recently taken over. Meeting with Gaétan Rous, the new boss of the site.
It was the Fabre group which took over the Bassin car scrapyard in Viviez. This group includes an automotive part – distributor in Aveyron, Lot, Cantal, Lozère, Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne – an environmental part, car scrapyard and scrap metal. The Fabre group employs a total of 650 people.
The new boss of the Viviezois site is named Gaétan Rous, who until now managed the IT part of the group. He is starting to find his feet and is enjoying his new role. There are only three sites in Aveyron that do both car scrapping, recovery and the sale of used parts (Espalion, Millau and therefore Viviez).
The Viviezoise auto scrapyard continues to recover vehicles, their destruction, the sale of spare parts, small auto repairs, the sale of second-hand tires, the fitting of new tires, and the management of vehicle registration documents. In addition to the director Gaétan Rous, the Viviez site includes a coordinator in the person of Éric Barnabé, the former boss who will provide the link for some time, three depolluters, a driver, a secretary.
Projects in the pipeline
In plans, the car scrapyard in Viviez could also recover iron and metals, develop vehicle repairs such as oil changes for example, generating an oil recovery system but the company is in its field. On this subject, the Fabre group now has the motto “Let’s speed up the movement” and wishes to support the positive transformation of territories by offering everyone, individuals or businesses, the means to act on the ground, with energy, environmental, industrial and mobile solutions in line with new uses.
Finally, the information had already been given, the Renault dealership, located at the Fontvergnes roundabout, is leaving Decazeville because there are many manufacturer constraints.
“There would perhaps be room for a Renault agent in the town, because the two other Bassin agents, Bouscayrol in Cérons (Aubin) and Ayral in Saint-Julien, work very well”slides Gaétan Rous.
