Saint-Émilion station, serving the Bordeaux-Bergerac-Sarlat line, has metamorphosed. With renovated platforms, modernized lighting and reinforced security measures, it better meets the needs of travelers who pass through it each year.
Facilities for greater comfort
Saint-Émilion station, which accommodates 34 trains per day and 158,000 travelers each yearhas recently benefited from major modernization work. These renovations include the refurbishment of platforms and shelters to improve user comfort. The signage has also been redesigned for better readability. The lighting, which has become more efficient, has seen the replacement of the candelabra heads and the installation of two new street lamps.
Reinforced security measures
Safety was a priority during this modernization. All station fences have been replaced, ensuring better protection for travelers. This work is part of a vast regional plan financed 87% by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and 13% per SNCF Stations & Connections. The modernized station was recently inaugurated, allowing users to discover its new facilities.
