Creuse: the League against Cancer inaugurates its new premises behind the Guéret town hall

It smells like fresh paint and new furniture, Creuse Cancer League. The association inaugurated its new premises this Tuesday, November 26. After many years spent in the boxes of the small Italian theater, the association now occupies everything one floor at the back of Guéret town hall. It is located in the building of the former agricultural house, located at 1 rue Martinet. A larger and newer space, which will allow a better reception of the public.

Workshops and treatments soon offered in these premises

As soon as you enter, the place is warm: the rooms are bright, yellow and turquoise armchairs furnish the waiting room. The building is also more accessible for sick or disabled people, sinceit has an elevatorwhich was not the case with local precedents.

This new site is also more functional. In the past, the League Against Cancer had only two large rooms. It now has 250 square meters, with around ten rooms. The association will be able to centralize all the activities it offers to people with cancer. Dietetic workshop, adapted sport, beauty treatments, psychological supporteverything will now be done on site. These activities are free.

Who can be supported by the League Against Cancer?

Each year, almosta thousand new cancers are diagnosed in Creuse. Affected Creusois residents can all benefit from support from the Cancer League, including those who are treated outside the department.

In addition to the treatments and workshops mentioned above, the association can help you with numerous procedures, for example to obtain reimbursement for a wig, or to benefit from household help.
