Saturday November 23, in Sens-de-Bretagne, near Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine), the Young farmers (JA) from the canton of Saint-Aubin-d'Aubigné organized a meal on the theme of “ eat well locally », followed by a dancing evening. A first JA meeting which aimed to highlight the dynamism and the commitment of l’agriculture locale.
This gathering was very well attended since 350 peopleresponded to this meal which was intended above all festive with products from different local producers: meatsstarters and dishes, vegetablescheeses and ice cream beers and ciders artisanal…
Political support
THE discussionswent quickly to the table, but it could not be ignored demands difficulties in the agricultural world, manifestations current and future and worryreigning.
Faced with all these concerns political speeches were invited into the evening. THE deputy Thierry Benoit took the stage to reaffirm his support to the agricultural world and answer questions while supporting its “ attachment strong and sustainable local agriculture, pillarof our economy and our rural identity.”
Among the questions, many of them revolved around administrative problems standards, directives: on this subject, the MP announced that he was in favor of “a grouping under the same authority of the regional directorate for food, agriculture and forestry, and the regional directorate for the environment, planning and housing, as well as to a fusion environmental and health control bodies for farmers and the CAP”.
The municipality Senonaise was represented by Michel Larmenier, first deputy, and by Véronique Sentuc, communications assistant who also expressed her support: “In a context where the agricultural sectoris faced with many challengesparticularly with concerns raised by proposed trade agreements such as that with the Mercosur it is more necessary than ever to demonstrate solidarity towards those who nourishour territory. The part cuisine was entrusted to a catering butcher, Corentin Gasnier.
