The victim was on a motorcycle, without a helmet, and fell during the accident, police said, confirming information from Sud Ouest.
Two other people, aged 19 and 23, were injured in the accident and transported “in absolute emergency” to the Pellegrin University Hospital in Bordeaux, again according to the same source. According to the mayor of Bassens Alexandre Rubio, the collision occurred on a boulevard leading to private land, an abandoned parking lot where bikers from the Bordeaux metropolitan area meet every weekend.
“We are very sad”
Last August, a 22-year-old young man was killed on the same boulevard in similar circumstances.
