A new agreement signed by 130 medical professionals this Monday in Montpellier. It covers the Mosson and Celleneuve districts, as well as five neighboring municipalities: Juvignac, Saint Georges d'Orques, Grabels, St Clément de Rivière and Prades-le-Lez. More than 100,000 residents will benefit from this CPTS (Territorial Professional Health Community). It is a collaborative network between doctors, nurses, pharmacists, midwives, and even physiotherapists. Objective: “decompartmentalize” the activity to facilitate and accelerate the patient care pathway.
“There is less mistrust between professionsrejoices Noémie Bonnet Aldigier, health director at the CPAM of Hérault. We get back to the right person much more quickly.” The objective is also to free up time for general practitioners on certain tasks by delegating them to nurses or assistants, to allow doctors to refocus on consultations, including new patients.
Focused on the specific needs of the population
The CPTS is designed according to the needs of the population. “We study the profile of patients in the sector then we adapt the care offer, explains Béatrice Lognos, doctor in St Georges d'Orques and head of the CPTS Lez-Mosson. For us, priority is given to prevention, cancer screening, vaccination against papillomavirus, but also chronic and psychiatric illnesses.”
This network is the 11th launched in Hérault since the first CPTS in Lunel in 2020. From now on, 99% of the department's inhabitants are covered by this system.
