Judith Godrèche invited to present her documentary

For the international day to combat violence against women, the Métropole de invites actress Judith Godrèche who will present her documentary.

As part of the international day against violence against women, this Monday, November 25, the Métropole de Lyon is continuing its awareness campaign against gender-based and sexual violence. Thus, Tuesday November 26, the Metropolis and the association “Women here and elsewhere“broadcast the documentary”Me too” at the Institut Lumière. Its director, Judith Godrèche, will also be present for the occasion. She will participate in a round table moderated by former journalist Clémence Leveau.

The Metropolis of Lyon is mobilized in all areas of its public action to combat this scourge on a daily basis, to raise awareness, support and shelter women victims of violence, and to work more generally for equality between women and men. He also recalls that the community subsidizes “to the tune of more than 200,000 euros for associations within the framework of the Solidarity Pact, whose support component for particularly vulnerable groups has been strengthened“. Furthermore, as part of its awareness campaign, the Métropole de Lyon produced a visual inspired by the color codes of the violenceometer, a tool used to illustrate the gradations of violence.

12% increase in violence in the Rhône

Faced with the urgency and challenges of the global situation, the elimination of violence against women is a daily fight.continues Michèle Picard, vice-president of the Métropole de Lyon, in charge of gender equality and the fight against discrimination. The fight against violence against women is everyone's business, from residents to local elected officials, from the police to the judiciary, from associations to the State. In 2023, a 12% increase in revealed incidents of domestic and intra-family violence was noted compared to 2022 in the administrative district of Rhône. More generally, the Lyon Metropolis deploys several measures for its agents within the community: HR actions for greater diversity and equality, communication campaigns, training, etc.
