The firefighters were called around 10 a.m. this Sunday, November 24, 2024, after the discovery of a body in the water, at the Damery dam, located between Épernay and Dormans (Marne).
According to newspaper information The Union it would be a man in his fifties, who has not yet been able to be identified. No disappearances have been reported recently in the area, the gendarmes told the local daily.
No trace of third party intervention
An investigation was opened by the Chalon public prosecutor's office and entrusted to the Épernay gendarmerie.
