According to our colleagues from Dauphiné Libéréa young man was reportedly arrested in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, in Isère this Saturday. This 27-year-old Nigerian was in fact arrested by the police following a murder perpetrated in Grenoble on Friday evening.
This arrest is part of an investigation into the intentional homicide committed by this individual in a small African grocery store where he allegedly murdered a 36-year-old man. The two men are believed to be members of the Nigerian community in Grenoble.
An investigation opened to understand the circumstances of the murder
According to our colleaguesNews17an altercation reportedly occurred early in the evening this Friday in a small business located on avenue Marie-Reynoard. The attacker allegedly stabbed the victim violently in the chest. Several witnesses reportedly witnessed the scene. The manager and customers were in fact present on the scene at the time of the tragedy. Following this, the murderer fled, leaving the victim in cardio-respiratory arrest.
An investigation was immediately opened and entrusted to the local judicial police service (SLPJ) which quickly identified the main suspect in this case. He will be heard this Monday and will have to explain his actions as part of his indictment.
