This Thursday, November 21, 2024, the Department of Lozère welcomed 9 interns as part of DuoDay, a national day dedicated to the professional inclusion of people with disabilities. With 13 internships offered in total, the Department has established itself as the community having offered the most opportunities this year in Lozère.
Collective mobilization for inclusion
Seven departmental directorates mobilized to share their daily lives. From administrative management to personal services, the interns explored some of the 97 professions practiced within the Department.
Françoise Amarger-Brajon, vice-president of the Department in charge of human solidaritydeclared: “DuoDay reflects our desire to take concrete action for inclusion. By opening our doors, we offer an opportunity for participants to discover professions essential to the life of our community. »
Sévérine Cornut, departmental advisor in charge of human solidarityadded: “It’s a great opportunity to share our know-how, but also to enrich each other through exchanges with the trainees. This day is a great collective success. »
Varied discoveries for trainees
Among the immersions offered:

Stéphane joined the management of the Departmental House of Autonomy, where he discovered the behind the scenes of the digitization of beneficiaries' administrative files.

Christelle accompanied Marine Spizzica from the children and families department, disability resources department. This experience allowed him to better understand the work of coordinating and supporting people, adults and children, with disabilities.

Valentin, for his part, joined the communications team. He participated in the publication of posts on the Department's social networks, discovered the key stages of organizing an event, and graphic creation.
A day full of lessons
Didier Monteilhet, DuoDay coordinator within the Department of Lozère, praised the investment of the teams and interns: “Each year, the DuoDay takes on more meaning for our agents and for the interns: the former leave with enriching exchanges and the latter with a better understanding of the professions. »
The success of this DuoDay 2024 reflects the commitment of the Department of Lozère to solidarity and inclusion. A great proof that, collectively, each talent can find its place.
