The objective is simple: offer a box containing 5 little touches to warm the hearts of the beneficiaries. The Emoi of the Year association kicks off the 5th edition of the Solidarity Christmas boxes in Maine-et-Loire. This collection of solidarity gift boxes, which aims to support people in precarious or isolated situations, is open to everyone: individuals, schools, businesses, sports clubs, etc.

What should the box contain?

The format of the box? A shoebox filled with various productscarefully chosen to please all audiences, from babies to seniors. Each box must contain:

  • Something warm (hat, scarf, hot water bottle, sweater, etc.)
  • Something good (chocolates, candies, spreads, etc.)
  • A beauty product (perfume, organic soap, aftershave, etc.)
  • Entertainment (book, game, toy, cards, crosswords, etc.)
  • A sweet little word or a drawing, to add a personal and warm touch.

Boxes should be carefully packaged, with the lid wrapped separately to allow contents to be checked by volunteers before distribution.

How to participate?

To participate, it's very simple! All you need to do is prepare one or more boxes, choosing the contents carefully. Then, drop them off at one of the many collection points throughout the department. The collection ends on December 18so don't delay!

If you are short on time, but still want to participate, you can also make a donation to the association to help complete the missing boxes, particularly for the most under-represented categories, such as men or adolescents.

Once your box is ready, you can drop it off at one of the collection points which will be announced on the association's website https://www.boitesdenoel49.fr.

These are the partner associations, such as Restaurants du coeur, Secours populaire, SOS Femmes, and Les Orphelins Apprentis d’Auteuilwho will distribute the boxes to people in need, just before or after Christmas.

Last yearmore than 5000 boxes were collected and redistributed to thousands of people thanks to the commitment of volunteers and donors.
