Three days after the passage of the Catéano storm, 1,000 homes are still in the dark, the fridge turned off and without heating in Loire-Atlantique and Vendée. At 6:30 p.m. this Sunday there are 600 in Loire-Atlantique and 400 in Vendée. These are the only two departments still affected by breakdowns. These homes are still without electricity this Sunday evening after the passage of storm Caétano on Thursday. The damaged electrical wires could not all be replaced despite the 460 Enedis agents deployed in the Pays de la Loire region.
The last repairs planned for this Monday
The electricity network manager was pleased to have restored power to 90% of homes this Saturdayr. Enedis also specifies that “the arrival of a new depression makes the conditions for intervention on the ground more difficult.” Repairs continue this Sunday and Monday. Some weakened electrical poles risk falling this Monday. Loire-Atlantique and Vendée are kept on yellow alert for “strong winds” this Monday, November 25.
