: a young man suspected of having fired mortars towards soldiers was arrested

In , a 17-year-old young man was taken into police custody on Sunday November 23 in the middle of the day. He is suspected of having fired mortars towards soldiers, mid-morning, on the sidelines of the commemorations of 80 years of the liberation of the city. The teenager is unfavorably known to the police. He was arrested a few hours after the incident in his mother's apartment. It was from the window of this apartment that the fireworks were fired and, according to the soldiers targeted, they were three mortar shots.

The targeted soldiers identified the exact position of the shooter

The soldiers were returning to their car after a first ceremony to go to a second site when the fireworks were set off. It was when they arrived at General de Gaulle Square for the rest of the ceremonies that they notified the police of the attack. They also reported the exact location of where the shot came from. The police immediately intervened for the arrest.

No one was injured, nor was there any material damage.
