Saint-Médard well deserved its victory on Friday evening, for having been able to find the motivation and the solutions to maintain the lead of the match until the end. It is the magic of the Cup which sees a man, Florian Darrigand, formerly of the Garonne house, score 28 points throughout a match that the locals had started with a 7 point lead due to the difference in level .

However, the GAB had started the debates rather well by regaining 2 points in the first period. Jérémy Ricard-Dorigo is on the leg and scores 12 points while Lopez is targeted by the local defense. Darrigand then begins his show. Two triples, drives, assists: the master allowed his team to lead well into the break, well helped by El Ghazi.

The ATM is catching up

The GAB is close to the explosion with 15 lengths behind but returns to the floor with other intentions. Corentin Lopez takes charge and the whole team tightens its defense. The locals in need of space lose their basketball while the Garonnais fill the scorer's table. The GAB has caught up and is attacking the last period with a 3-point lead.

Instead of driving the point home, the point of the show goes to Captain Darrigand who finishes the job. The visiting collective disintegrates, Saint-Médard finds his address at the best time and wins. The disappointment is visible for the Garonnais who will have to pull themselves together for the rest of their season.
