Two Landeses at the Aïcha des Gazelles rally. – In April 2025, Laure Larroudé, 39, from Heugas, and Harmonie Joseph, 34, from Rion-des-Landes, will participate in the emblematic Aïcha des Gazelles rally, a female-oriented adventure in the heart of the Moroccan desert . Armed only with a map and a compass, the two friends will have to cover the shortest distance possible to reach different checkpoints. This rally, certified ISO 14001, combines sporting challenge and respect for the environment. Under the name Désert de l'invisible, they will support the Valentin Haüy association, which works for the autonomy of the visually impaired. Laure, whose mother chairs the Dacquois committee of the association, hopes to collect at least 1,000 euros. To finance their participation, they are actively seeking local sponsors, aiming for 15,000 euros to cover registration fees. Between off-road driving training with the Lesperon firefighters and orientation courses, they prepare carefully to take on this extraordinary challenge.
