The snowflakes that have fallen in recent days in Paris and Île-de-France have certainly served as a reminder that winter is setting in, but they have also kicked off the Christmas period. In the capital where the atmosphere is described as fairythe first illuminations have appeared in recent days to the delight of locals and tourists.
BHV Marais to launch the season
They are the first to launch the Christmas period. On November 6, the BHV Marais located on rue de Rivoli (4th) inaugurated its windows in the presence of three distinguished guests: the couple Adriana Karembeu and Marc Lavoine and the influencer and “mayor of Paris” as she calls herself, Léna Situations.
Vianney to host the show at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann
The Galeries Lafayette Haussmann (9th) is a rite of passage every year at Christmas time. This year, for the 130th anniversarya “25 meter high” tree was installed. It “represents the strong link between heritage and modernity, inspired by window paintings from around thirty years ago and the newly restored Byzantine facade of the store,” explains the group on its social networks.
For the inauguration, visitors were treated to a private show by the singer Vianney.
Spring also celebrates an anniversary
A few meters further, the famous Printemps windows were inaugurated by the actress, Juliette Binoche. Also an opportunity to celebrate the “50th anniversary of shop windows animated with motorized puppets” which make the charm and success of the store.
The Dior of Avenue Montaigne to make Paris shine
Like every year, the Dior brand pulls out all the stops. This year, its store on Avenue Montaigne (8th) once again attracted curious onlookers and publications on social networks with its light displays and Eiffel Towers.
Place Vendôme and its famous fir trees
Place Vendôme (8th) has taken its large fir trees out of the boxes. In addition to this show, numerous light displays have been installed in the luxurious shops on the square.
Still curiosities to discover
The highlight of the show will be this Sunday, November 24 during the illuminations on the Champs-Élysées (8th). Tony Estanguet, Anne Hidalgo and the singer Santa will be there this evening. By 2023, the event had attracted 150,000 people.
Finally, on December 14, a first market on Place de la Concorde (8th) will be launched. This is actually the City Hall market which cannot be held in the 4th arrondissement due to work.
