Around 250 people gathered at Le Moule this Saturday, November 23, to demand justice for Merick Mathoré, a young 26-year-old Guadeloupean soldier, killed in Besançon. Dressed in white, friends, neighbors, family and ordinary citizens marched silently through the streets of the town.
They walk in silence. Dressed in white, they decided to seek justice for Merick Mathoré this Saturday, November 23, 2024 afternoon, in the commune of Moule, where his family still lives. Revolt and anger can be read on their faces even if everyone has a non-violent approach. There are around 250 of them parading the streets.
Some came because Merick is their son's age, others because they know the family, neighbors, friends, cousins. But they all have in common the incomprehension of such a savage act.
