A Chaumontaise elected Mademoiselle Haute- 2024

Saturday November 16, the evening for the election of Mademoiselle Haute- 2024 took place in the Sommevoire multipurpose room. Seven candidates were in the running, and Laura Cornuot, a young Chaumontaise, won the title.

Around 8 p.m., Saturday November 16, around 150 people came to attend the evening, organized by the Mademoiselle Haute-Marne departmental committee, at the Sommevoire multipurpose room. For the occasion, the jury sat as close as possible to the stage in order to attend the show presented by the seven Haut-Marnaise candidates and to elect Mademoiselle Haute-Marne 2024 and her two young ladies.

Laura Cornuot, Marine Rigollot, Louna Vincent, Elga Goutry-André, Brayana Cribel, Stessy Soudidier-Charton and Clémence Beurville paraded in six different outfits: opening outfit, official outfit, city outfit, themed outfit, evening outfit and cocktail attire.

Each of the choreographic scenes worked on beforehand was a great success from the public who gave the young women a standing ovation each time they entered the stage.

The show was interrupted twice by the performance of the young majorettes “Les Biesloises pétillantes” who delighted the spectators.

Several young winners and members of other committees in the Champagne-Ardenne region, including the 2nd 2024 young lady, Lou Dorobisz, as well as the regional delegate, Sara Villeval, were present throughout the ceremony, handing over the scarves at the end of the evening.

Apart from the three scarves awarded by the votes of the members of the jury, a fourth corresponding to the Public Prize was also at stake. Louna Vincent, from Sommevoire, was awarded the scarf. Unfortunately, an error in counting the number of votes was made by the Haute-Marne committee. It was in fact Marine Rigollot from Essey-les-Ponts who should have won this scarf. After referring the matter to the regional delegate and the national committee, it was decided to temporarily withdraw the scarf from Louna before a final decision was taken. On Tuesday morning, it was finally announced by Sara Villeval that Louna retained her Public Prize title, in part thanks to the fair play and kindness of Marine who accepted this decision. The national committee, aware of the impact on Louna and Marine, offered them a place in the 2025 national election which will take place on April 19 in Mer, in the Center-Val de region.

After deliberation by the jury, Clémence Beurville from Rachecourt-sur-Marne was awarded the 2nd young lady sash. Elga Goutry-André de Bourg obtained that of 1st young lady 2024.

The big winner of the evening was the young Chaumontaise Laura Cornuot who was awarded the Mademoiselle Haute-Marne 2024 sash as well as the tiara.

The seven Haute-Marne candidates will participate in the Mademoiselle Champagne-Ardenne 2025 election at the Charleville-Mézières exhibition center, on May 24, 2025 and then possibly in that of Mademoiselle France 2026.

Laura Cornuot, new Mademoiselle Haute-Marne

Laura Cornuot is a 17-year-old Chaumontaise in general terminal class and hoping to become a lawyer.

By registering, she wanted to make her dream come true. As a little girl, she always wanted to parade on the Miss France stage. She defends equality between men and women. She chose to present herself as Marie-Antoinette, because like her, Laura sometimes faced external judgments and was often criticized for her choices and her lifestyle.

Laura feels ready to take on her challenges with determination and passion.

Even if she hoped to be elected Mademoiselle Haute-Marne, she did not expect it. She is very happy, moved and proud to embody “the elegance of youth” and the values relating to her title.
