7.5 million euros in tax relief for farmers in Deux-Sèvres
In front of the mobilized farmers at Place de la Brèche in Niortthe two union representatives announced that they had reached an agreement around relief of the property tax on undeveloped properties (TFPNB) by 40%, which is equivalent to 7.5 million euros per year in the department.
An announcement confirmed by the prefecture of Deux-Sèvres which emphasizes that it is “ a proposal from the prefect, based on an average loss of agricultural production in the department ».
A relief which could be reinforced, via a simplified measure, at the end of the sunflower harvest, corn silage et grain cornaccording to union representatives.

Nitrate Directive: exemption on plant cover
FNSEA and JA Deux-Sèvres are also pleased to have obtained a automatic exemption within the framework of the directive nitrate on the obligation to put plant cover behind grain corn, sorghum, soybeans or sunflowers.
