Graduation ceremony for the 272nd class of peacekeeper students – News

This Friday, November 22, 2024, in Nîmes, the release ceremony of the 272 took place^e promotion of peacekeeper students from the Nîmes Police Academy, chaired by Marie-Charlotte Euvrard, chief of staff of the prefect of Gard.

This promotion includes 444 student peacekeepers in Nîmes, including 345 men and 99 women from all regions of mainland France and Overseas.

Having officially become police officers at the rank of peacekeeper, the students will soon join their assigned services on the national territory.

Three students were declared bronze medalists, two for act of courage and dedication and one the internal security medal.

Originally from the Hérault department, Sarah DEDIEU, valedictorian of Nîmes, ranks 18^e in the general classification, with an average of 17.04/20. She decides to begin her career as a peacekeeper at the police headquarters, at the 12 police station.^e arrondissement.

Placed under the authority of the Ministry of the Interior, the peacekeeper's mission is to maintain public order and ensure the safety of people and property. A local actor, the peacekeeper contributes to maintaining a climate of security among citizens.

Assigned to a police station or a Republican Security Company (CRS), the peacekeeper is responsible for strengthening local police services.
